Testimonials
"I have regained allot of confidence and have much more joy in my life. David, you have really help the lessons and our interactions have had quite an impact on me. I have also found you to be a very precise and effective teacher. You really know your Greek. You also have a nice presence about you, at least online.
Your patient with me and your also a very kind and considerate person."
"An extremely close reading of the relevant texts was incredibly helpful. The competing ideas responsible for decades of heresiological mud slinging would seem like textual minutia to me without a teacher - I would have completely missed them without the course."
About Me
I earned my PhD in Religious Studies in 2013 (UVA). My current appointment is at Boston College. I have helped literally thousands of students gain an understanding of Gnosticism on my YouTube channel and on Patreon. My passion for teaching and extensive knowledge of ancient Christian history make me a go-to resource for students seeking to learn more about the Naassenes. My new monograph on the Naassenes just came out with Routledge (2024).
